befree – Content Management System / Workflow Management System

befree was established by Australian Accountants to meet the shortage of qualified, reliable and cost effective bookkeepers in Australia. befree provides quality bookkeeping services to SME’s in Australia, and has recently been listed in the BRW (Business Review Weekly) Fast 100 for 2011.

The following are the services provided by Intergy:

Content Management System

Intergy chose Joomla as the Content Management System for befree to manage their website content. Intergy installed and customised various plugins/components of Joomla according to befree’s business needs. For example, the Newsletter component is heavily used by befree as a marketing tool. Document upload/download component also plays vital role in befree’s client management. Intergy also integrated befree’s website content management system with their internal Workflow Management System (see below) to eliminate the redundancy. This improved befree’s business process and efficiency.

Workflow Management System

Intergy developed a custom Workflow Management System in PHP and MySQL (integrated with their external website) to help befree to manage their sales process, day to day business activities, timesheets, work requests, ticketing and much more. Custom reports provided for admin users to select the output fields and conditions of the report has helped users to formulate their own report and save the report format to use it for later purpose.

The Workflow system was instrumental in helping befree to streamline its business processes and quickly grow in size.

Website Maintenance & Support

Ongoing support and maintenance is provided to keep the website and application up-to-date and resolve any issues that arise.

Technology Used

Joomla used along with various customised plugins/components for Content Management System. Workflow Management System was developed in PHP technologies. A MySQL database was used for data storage and retrieval.
